Sums it up

This picture sums it all up! this beach is Nevi and my favorite place to be- daily in fact. Bowerman's beach. this was the other day- as nevi is deciding she would like to take up snorkling...this is after she decided she would like to jump off the green bridge which she hasd now done 4 times....learn to play tennis...she had two private lessons and is a whiz, learn to sail, make and collect for a salt water aquarium, go to coastal exploration camp in Wood's Hole and learn about aquatic life.....and so much more. This summer on Cape Cod tops them all so far. We are so lucky! More later...

Noni and Nevi

This summer trip has been beyond wonderful. The best moments are the most simple. Here is Nevi & my Mom snuggling on the couch for a book. The cute part is that my Mom had knee surgery in May and in this picture she is icing her knee....and so is Nevi~ icing her own knee. Two peas in a pod.

Re-united

After three days in Maine , we returned to the Cape. Nevi had been with her grandparents, her Uncle Nat & aunt Gina and her three cousins while we were away. We were so excited to be back together as a family! Thanks Mom and Dad and nat and Gina for making it possible for us to sneak away for a bit.

Cousin's Camp Little Gott Island 2008

Thanks to my Uncle PK and Aunt Phoebe- we were all invited back to a cousin's camp this year. When we were children- they would have all 13 of us cousin's up without our parents for a fun camp...this year we were all invited with our spouses for Cousins Camp....there were 13 adults present in total. We gathered and shared, loved, worked, made music, remembered, honored and ate! What memories. Thank you Allens.

Fireworks on the rocks after a lobster dinner My favorite Post Office EVER.....on Great Gott Island, Maine

Rowing from Little Gott to Great Gott with my cousin, Betsy.

Nothing like a swim in 50 degree water to revitalize and bring clarity- my most favorite sensation ever.....

Maine

After a week with all of us Ross clan together at the Cape...Will & Krista and Devin & I escaped without children to my most sacred place...an island my great grandfather purchased long ago...of the coast of Mount Dessert, Maine. This place can heal anything.

Yeah Papa arrived!

Finally after being away from Devin for about 13 days- he arrived at the Cape. Nevi and I were so happy to see our sweet love. Devin works so hard and he deserves a break more than anyone we know- so we were glad to create time as a family and time for rest!

Aunt Wendy

Ok after a few days in Vermont- Nevi was ready to head back "home" to Noni and Dad Dad's house on Cape Cod. We had been traveling a bunch and she was ready to settle in a bit. So back to the Cape and right into her godmother's arms at the beach! Oh, how Nevi and I adore her godmother, Wendy MacDonald. She is a gem of a human being and a delight to be around. I wish we had more time together.

Mountain View Ranch

One day while we were in vermont- jen and I took becca and Nevi to a local farm. We got to pet donkey's, rabbits, goats and have a pony ride! Such a beautiful place, lovely people and lots of FUN!

Jen & Becca met us there

My oldest freind and maid of honor in our wedding Jennifer met us in Vermont. Jen and I spent lots of time here together as children and young girls. Now we are both 40 and mom's and here we are again.

Off to Vermont

After being in CT for a few days- Nevi and I drove to our farm in Southern Vermont. Paradise!

The Burger Family

Shelley has three sons and needed to shower nevi with a girl present...well she hit the nail on the head with a fairy outfit.....of course Nevi slept in it! I kid you not.
Thank you Shelley, Doug, Peter, Ethan and Mathew for sharing your beautiful home with us- we love you dearly!
Shelley and the kids in the pool~swimming and having such fun!
