The New Do

So here she is all fixed up with her new shorty hair do! Precious child~

Front

But here is the clincher...she had bangs, but now she has really short bangs! Oh my the long and the short was really a smashing look. I had a pretty good mothering moment through all of this...I showed my dismay openly, asked her how she felt about it...she was silent and ran to her room. she did not want me to look. we talked about scissiors being for paper again....we talked about how lucky she is cause hair grows back...we talked about simply having a new style and seeing how it feels. Then I said- do you want to leave it like that or get an on purpose hair cut? She was unsure. Then she said, everyone at school will ask me why my hair looks like this tomorrow. I said, yes, they will. She said, I would like to go get a haircut. Sweet child. And off we went at 6pm to find a hairdresser. Went to one salon...a place Nevi had never been- she did not like how it smelled and was afraid of the lady...we left. Went down the road to a place she had been before and well- it is not the best cut, but it is so much better than it was....

side view

She artistically cut another chunk from one side but not the other....side and right into the back I might add.

Nevi's first personal haircut

Well, I have been waiting for this day for awhile now-when Nevi takes scissors to her own hair. But leave it to our child to cut chunks from all over her head. This was the chunk from the back...not bad actually.

Giggles with Grandma

After we ate lunch, made oatmeal cookies, did a puzzle of the United States...Grandma and Nevi had a cuddle on the recliner and giggles flew around the room.

Grandpa

Last Saturday we spent some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa while Devin studied for his Professional Engineer exam which he takes in April. Nevi loves to snuggle with herGrandpa!
