Here is our family self potrait on the beach last weekend. what a beautiful day filled with sunshine, salt air and time as a family. I love weekends, summer and my family.

Yachats, Oregon

Last weekend, the Bailly family went to Yachats, on the oregon coast to visit our friends, Liz & Carl. This is the beach right near their cottage. We walked, chased birds, collected rocks and shells and camped on their land. The Oregon coast is spectacular! Thanks for letting us visit, Liz & Carl!

Montessori: Education for Life!

The magic of Montessori education is the fact that children deeply desire to be involved in daily living. They crave independence, and the freedom to do for themselves. This "fairy" cooking moment happened the other night...I was whirling about trying to prepare our dinner. Nevi asked, " Can I help?" I was stumped as to how she could help when she said..."I can cut that cucumber!" I said, " Oh my, you're right...I have your child sized cutter in the drawer!" She got the cutting board, her stool, the chopper and there she was helping me cook dinner. All initiated by her! I LOVE Montessori , and my helpful child too!

Nevi's "real" Birthday August 7th

On Nevi's actual birthday we went to her Grandma and Granpa's new house for a pizza party. Her Aunt Jen and Uncle Jason and cousin, Amelia came too. What a birthday!

Nevi in her new fairy dress from Niko and her new fairy wand and head piece from Heather and Topher! What a glorious Fourth Birthday party. Now she just needs to turn four TOMORROW!
