Papa Appreciation Dinner

Devin has been working soooo hard. Last night he even came home- so I could go to a meeting- put Nevi to bed ,and then when I got home he went back to work. So, Nevi and I decided this afternoon to declare Papa Appreciation Dinner tonight! We collected flowers from our garden, made signs and pictures, set a beautiful table with our Italian formal wear, cracked a bottle of wine and milk in a brandy snifter for Nevi and celebrated Devin when he walked through the door. During dinner Nevi and I took turns telling Devin what we appreciated about him...Nevi even said on her own...I appreciate that you work so hard so we have money. Bless her sweet self and bless Devin for all he does for our family! Hard work every day should not go un-appreciated!

Auntie Zsa Zsa and Hadley's gift

Nevi had a special day today. We got a call recently from my dear friend, Kristen...Nevi calls her Auntie Zsa Zsa cause one night when we were at a party Kristen had on this wonderful sweater with feathers all over it...anyway....the call was that Kristen and Hadley, her daughter had found a present for Nevi. So today Nevi and I went to get the present....well, these pajama's were wrapped and in a bag. Nevi was completely un-done by them. The note read...Nevi- we hope you like these- they made Hadley and me think of you dancing before bed! And how right they are...she put them on and has been dancing about since. Thank you Auntie Zsa Zsa and Hadley!!!!! You made Nevi's week.

HughLuPalooza

We spent three days in the Oasis of Hooty & Lauren's world. All the tents went up effortlessly for each family that arrived...the drinks were a steady flow...the food was communal and abundant...the outdoor movies began with a child friendly flick and ended with movies even I did not need to see...jackass II being one of them. But look at this place...open, lush, welcoming, beautiful gardens that Lulu tends, impecable lawns that hooty tends...generosity, love, friendship and down right FUN!

River Bath

Once down the trail from Tracy and Dave's house- we meet the river on Treehouse Point property. You know you are there because of the natural art which lures you...wax melted on the rocks for candle lit evenings around a campfire and the sound of the river sweeping by...dreamy. But on this day it was about bathing...swimming and frolicking. Devin and Nevi as they cross....and then Nevi who was in the chilly river in an instant...swimming with Pete and a bizillion other kids!

Tree House Point

Pete and Judy Nelson, sweet friends of ours are extraordinary folk. They have created an oasis for private/corporate/family parties at Treehouse Point. The Tree House School of course is here, and Pete teaches lots of workshops on how to construct houses in the trees because he is THE TREE HOUSE GUY. Judy welcomes people to the inn with her style and charm...it is a must check out at www.treehousepoint.com
The first tree house is constructed on the outside and now they move to the inside...the name of the tree house is Temple of the Blue Moon...ok tell me you do not want to stay in the Temple of the Blue Moon....if not once in your life!

Lewis & Clark lives

Here is only a portion of the crowd at HughLuPalooza. this was before we hiked through the woods from Tracy & Dave's house to our friend Pete and Judy's Treehouse Point...

Hooty & Lauren

Meet our fabulous friends, Hooty & Lauren also known as Hugh and LuLu. These two and their three beautiful children: Charlie, henry and Elizabeth...live on the most lovley piece of land in Fall City Washington. I went to college with H & L long ago. Anyway, every year they host all us old, crazy college friends at a festival of souls called HughLuPalooza. See below!
